Rhinoplasty
To improve the function and/or the appearance of your nose, you need rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is also commonly called a “nose job.” Rhinoplasty can be performed to meet aesthetic goals or for reconstructive purposes. It can correct birth defects or breathing problems, sometimes in association with other nasal surgery. It can also be combined with procedures such as chin, cheek or lip augmentation to enhance your aesthetic results and appearance. Rhinoplasty can reduce, enlarge or reshape your nose to improve both its appearance and function without scarring. Bumps, twists or other imperfections can be eliminated and improved. Long noses can be shortened and wide noses narrowed. The tip of the nose can be changed. The patient’s ethnic background, skin type and other factors are important considerations when choosing nose reshaping and are discussed at length with the doctor since the goal of the surgery is to have a natural-looking nose.
